How do I report a sighting of the paranormal?
Officially there is no report it to body in the UK or anywhere in the world, organizations which are strictly volunteer run do
maintain records of paranormal occurrence and events. Of which Paranormal Network is one of.

Sure the police receive claims of strange events, but it is not their duty to investigate them unless there has been an criminal
element has been reported - theft, death, trespass etc. There are a number of groups who have a vested interest in the
events and occurrence that happen.

Why should I report an Occurrence?
Quite simply because it happened. The occurrences of paranormal phenomenon such as ghost, spirit contact, UFO sighting, a haunted location, an encounter with shadow people/folk, Men In Black, strange energy locations, strange or odd chain of events, magic and their and plenty of sub catagories of the paranormal that could take up books and indeed has. There is very little belief from people and from establishments that the events titled as paranormal even happened, and will often just be noted as one of those things. What is an investigation?
It is possible that ourselves or another interested parties would like to investigate the first hand claim. There is a process to follow which is listed below. An investigation is where we would attend the location, interviewthose who witnessed events, record footage, take photographs, seek to establish a chain of events, see if we can find what is causing the events and more. If possible provide a resolution.

What are the steps of an investigation?
PN recommends there to be a initial informal meeting to discuss occurrences and events, discuss risks involved.
A report is then drafted of which is sent to the client - which will contain our intentions and cause of actions.
once the client has confirmed receipt we then put into action the next step of the investigation which is to attend the location. A meeting at the location is then organized to establish a logical investigation. Follow up meetings can be organized, to see if information can be collaborated with information already discovered - and to see what more can be found. Records of each stage are given to the client and a final report once the investigation is completed. If permission is granted by the client we would publish details and reports to add to the evidence of paranormal phenomenon.

Is there a charge?
Should there be a charge? Should a group/individual charge you? Well paranormal researchers and investigators are not like plumbers, you can't just ring up like a service saying example being "I have a ghost come get rid of it". and on that note, paranormal researchers, investigators do not just investigate ghost claims.

First of all researchers and investigators (should) be there to document proof of paranormal occurrence. They are not
eliminators it is not like Ghostbusters. There are people and groups out there who will charge for their services, travelling and efforts. Yes, there should be charge for their expertise, knowledge and effort. However what that price is, is something to be discussed at the informal meeting, where the understanding of what is happening and what needs to happen is established. Unless the relevant person/group has set prices for their time and expertise.

Is it or is it not paranormal?
First off all, there has to be a level of logic and level headedness applied. Before anyone can assess whether it is or it is not
paranormal. Because after all a multitude of things that can be misconceived or seem to be supernatural, when it is down to
something much more mundane like electrical or optical illusion. So only when they are settled can one say it is paranormal.

Did I really see something?
Yes, of course you saw something what it is, is another matter entirely. Hopefully those out there who participate in the
information network can shed light on what it is.

What is a ghost?
The discussion of what a ghost is has raged on for literally hundreds of years. It is understood they are made of energy, this form of energy is indeterminate, they appear to frequently appear to affect electromagnetic fields possibly generating one of their own - Which is subjective in itself. Can a house be "cleared"?
Yes, and there are many ways once the logical reasoning and initial steps have been completed it is possible that a "clearing" may be needed. A clearing can be done is a multitude of ways based on the belief structure of those conducting the clearing and those who are requiring a clearing and those who are to be cleared. It is accepted by some that locations can build up emotional residue which can be the cause of a number of issues. Is possession possible? and Can I be possessed?
Possession yes can happen and yes you can be possessed. But without your will no. Possessions have been recorded
throughout history, it is alleged to occur when a spirit enters your body while you are sub-consciously "away". Then proceeds to take control of the body.
